3D Nipple & Areola Tattooing After Breast Reconstruction
Following breast reconstruction, some patients are left without a natural-looking nipple and areola. 3D medical tattooing uses color, shading, highlights and carefully placed detail to create the optical appearance of a three-dimensional nipple and areola.
Every reconstruction is different, which is why Medical Ink approaches each procedure as an individualized restoration rather than a one-size-fits-all tattoo.
A Medical Background With an Artistic Approach
Medical Ink combines clinical experience with specialized medical tattooing techniques. Understanding surgical anatomy, scar tissue, healing and the reconstruction process allows the patient experience to be approached from both a medical and artistic perspective.
For many breast cancer survivors, this procedure represents more than cosmetic tattooing. It can be an important final step in feeling comfortable and confident in their reconstructed body.
